Updated: May 8th, 2025
The 10th of September 2024 marks an incredibly important day for little Ivy, as she prepared for a life-saving haplo transplant. This procedure, which uses stem cells from a family member with a partial tissue match, is a crucial step in Ivy's journey to health and her daddy is the one making it possible!
In a heartfelt message, Ivy’s mother, Selina Dixon, expressed her gratitude for her partners selfless act:
"CELL DAY!!!!! Thank you to our girl’s life saviour, her biggest fan - her DADDY! Cells are being taken today to be given to our precious girl for transplant day tomorrow. My god, how long it feels waiting for this day. Proud of you, love you so much, babe."
In her message, Selina also thanked The Bubble Foundation for our continued support throughout their journey:
"Thank you to the Bubble Foundation and all the amazing team keeping us sane so far."
The Bubble Foundation’s work, especially in pioneering research into reducing post-transplant infection risks through memory T cells, has played a crucial role in improving outcomes for patients like Ivy.
